Public transit in Steinbach has been a topic of conversation for decades. SEEC believes that affordable, accessible public transit for all is one way to meet the vision of a fair and just community that empowers and provides opportunities for all people to thrive.

A Basic Livable Income ensures everyone has an income sufficient to meet basic needs and to live with dignity, regardless of work status.

We’ve been learning and networking with others across the province, to influence the conversation around basic income.

We coordinate two in person clinics per year where CRA, Service Canada, and many other service providers are available to meet with individuals around housing, income supports, employment, identification, and more.

SEEC coordinates monthly networking meetings amongst local service providers. They are held at the Jake Epp Library on the third Wednesday of the month at noon.

SEEC is part of a Communities Ending Poverty group through Tamarack. We meet with similar minded groups across Manitoba and share wins, challenges, resources, and more

SEEC has expressed support for various initiatives, and works to connect and share resources with others.
