Public transit “LINK Transit” logo revealed

Congratulations to Vorobiov Roman, our logo winner for LINK Transit, the proposed public transit in Steinbach! Thanks to the many wonderful submissions from young and old – keep a look out for the runners up on our website in the near future: SEEC Manitoba

Steinbach is growing and with it the need for public transit, for businesses and citizens alike. LINK Transit mission is to provide reliable and affordable transit services to the residents of Steinbach, enhancing their mobility and connectivity within the city, reducing social inequalities in our community, and creating greater links within our community.

South East Equity Coalition has identified the significant transit needs of Steinbach citizens and businesses through our two separate surveys, and also in continued conversations with many Steinbach residents. Other growing Manitoba communities, including Winkler and Selkirk, already operate public transit systems. We don’t yet have support (in principle or financially) from Steinbach City Council to apply for public transit grants, but it’s election year so please let them know you want to see Public Transit in Steinbach. It is an investment in the well-being of all Steinbach residents and businesses.
